Introducing Scott - Violin & Viola Instructor
Scott has been playing since _______. Scott has a Bachelor of music degree in viola from the Southern Methodist University. While there he studied with viola teachers Barbara Houstus and Ellen Rose of the Dallas Symphony. Scott also had the opportunity to study with former Los Angeles Philharmonic viola principal Evan Wilson while attending the music festival at the Chautauqua Institute.

Experience
Scott’s professional career began by playing with several orchestras in the northern Virginia area. He performs regularly with many Orchestras such as Spartanburg and Rock Hill Symphonies. He is a member of the Piedmont Camerata, a resident piano quintet for Piedmont College. Scott is currently a member of the Hilton Head Symphony and also the associate principal violist of the South Carolina Philharmonic (website here).
